After receiving the great honour of being awarded Best Club in ‘DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs’ Poll, thanks to the votes from tens of thousands of clubbers around the world, we’ve got a lot to do to ensure we live up to such an esteemed accolade, but what better way to begin than by announcing the next wave of DJs who’ll be playing at Space Opening Party on Sunday 29th May.

Jeff Mills: One of Detroit techno’s most respected and established names, Mills has been one of the key figures on the electronic music scene since the early days and continues to be one of the most influential DJ/producers around. His passion for artistic expression has lead him into all sorts of varied projects, not least his world renowned productions, such as his reinterpretation of Fritz Lang’s classic Metropolis, but also other ventures into photography (Purpose Maker in Berlin/London, 1998) or the art installation that he made in Barcelona in 2001 (Mono Exhibition).

Andy Fletcher DJ Set (Depeche Mode): A huge surprise for all those who count themselves as fans of the world famous, British electronic-pop group Depeche Mode. For 2011’s Opening, we’re joined by Andy Fletcher, who has spent recent times, when in between albums of Depeche Mode, as a touring DJ, playing at festivals like Creamfields, Pukkelpop and Sonar, as well as clubs across the world.

“I really enjoy DJing, it’s great to get eye contact in smaller venues again as I’m used to playing to tens of thousands of people with DM. And it’s great to be able to select tracks I like from any era and in any style.”
“In general I don’t tend to play any one style but my set is loosely based on my heritage with Depeche Mode – electro both old and new from the Human League to Alex Metric. I’ll be playing brand new DM mixes from respected producers such as Eric Prydz & Vince Clarke and classic old mixes such as Personal Jesus by Francois K. You can expect some surprises as well as I’ve been working on a few things in the studio especially for this forthcoming DJ tour.”
β€œIt feels like a good time to be out DJing again, with a new DM remix album out in March 2011. The last remix collection was hugely successful and this one is shaping up to be just as exciting – an interesting mix of favourite classic mixes and brand new future classic mixes.”

Fedde Le Grand: Dutch DJ and producer, who came to prominence for his single ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ released in 2006, but has since then maintained his position as one of the leading DJs on the globe and most sought after remixers, having already put his magic touch to works by Madonna and Robbie Williams. Furthermore, he is the owner of the label Flamingo, with Funkerman and Raf.

Wally Lopez: Our very own international star and Space resident, pioneer of House Music here in Spain to such extents that his musical passion has established him as the best known Spanish DJ, in fact, the only one who year after year makes it into the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s Poll. His charisma, music know-how and professionalism have made him one of the most in-demand artists, both as DJ and producer, having important remixes for the likes of Tiesto , Bob Sinclar, Robbie Rivera, Dirty Vegas and Ricky Martin under his belt.

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano: Two personalities with one objective; to entertain as many people as possible with their infectious brand of deep house and funky grooves. Since the moment, they entered into the world of DJing, they shared love of house music had quickly brought them together and they now are recognised as part of the ever-growing wave of Dutch DJs and producers that are taking the world by storm.

In addition, we are also pleased to announce that joining the already bursting line-up to ensure a full house, will be: Remo (Italy), Jonathan Ulysses (UK), MYNC (UK), Elio Riso (Argentina), Paul Darey (Spain ), Oscar Cano (Spain) and Steffen Baumann (Germany) and many more to confirm.
