The line-up to launch the Warehouse Project into its new era is of epic sizes and proportions. Proceedings are led by German minimal maestro Loco Dice, 2011’s biggest DJ Jamie Jones, fresh from coming top of the Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and Mixmag charts the end of last year and Carl Craig will be presenting 69 Live. Maya Jane Coles who remains to be riding a top a wave of interest also joins along with Ditybird label head Claude VonStroke, Washington duo Benoit & Sergio and M.A.N.D.Y the alias that embodies the mutual talents of childhood friends Philipp Jung and Patrick Bodmer. The female face of dance music and first lady of BBC Radio 1 Heidi joins with the stunning Nina Kraviz who is about to release her debut album on Rekids, man at the helm of the revered Hot Flush imprint Scuba, one of the most exciting new producers to come out of Manchester XXXY plus Krysko, Damu, Greg Lord and Andro all complete the line-up.

The now infamous Warehouse Project has been a revolutionary event for the city since it launched in 2006 and now moves into its third home. The brand was born and raised for the first year in the old Boddington Brewery on the outskirts of the Manchester city centre. For twelve weeks, it was transformed from an abandoned relic of Manchester’s industrial past into the backdrop for the three month run of parties that became WHP06. And now, after five years beneath the streets in the belly of Store Street its time once again to change it up.

The new space is a departure from what went before but The Warehouse Project was started with a genuine desire to keep evolving. All will be revealed in a few short weeks.

Het is voor Afrojack de tweede achtereenvolgende keer dat hij draait op Coachella, dat vorig jaar in totaal meer dan 230.000 bezoekers trok. De voor een Grammy genomineerde DJ is één van de weinige artiesten die meerdere keren gevraagd is om op te treden op het festival dat dit jaar voor het eerst tijdens twee weekenden in april plaats zal vinden.

R3hab maakt dit jaar zijn debuut op Coachella. De DJ/producer brak vorig jaar definitief door in Amerika, toerde de hele wereld rond en maakte op verzoek van onder andere Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez en David Guetta remixen van hun nummers.

Afrojack en R3hab zijn naast Noisia de enige Nederlandse artiesten die hun opwachting zullen maken tijdens Coachella. De twee DJ’s zullen op de eerste dag van beide weekenden (vrijdag 13 april en vrijdag 20 april) optreden op het festivalterrein dat midden in de woestijn van Californië ligt.

Both Carl Craig and Friendly Fires have invited a DJ to join them on what will no doubt be an evening of the most cutting edge electronic music.

The invite only event will take place at Corsica Studios, South London on Wednesday 16th November. The entire night will be streamed live (from 8 – 11PM) by weekly cult online streaming project The Boiler Room.

This year Carl Craig is celebrating 20 Years of his Detroit imprint Planet-E and, for the first ever time, has taken the show on the road selling out clubs and festivals the world over. Alongside this, he has performed trio shows with Moritz Von Oswald and Francesco Tristano – including ADE and La Gaite Lyrique in Paris – but he’s not stopping there. Planet-E is shortly to release vinyl compilation ’20 Fucking Years Of Planet E – We Ain’t Dead Yet’ in an exclusive box set.

2012 will be solely focused on his 69 live show, performing a selection of the finest 69 classic releases, infused with masks, darkness and ‘retina popping’ visuals to stimulate all senses.

Friendly Fires’ love of electronic music is well documented and the band are delighted to be curating this unique event alongside Carl Craig, who also continues the tradition of brilliant Friendly Fires remixes with his version of ‘Show Me Lights’, which will be debuted on the night. The band have just returned from a extensive tour of the USA, following show-stealing appearances at festivals across the globe. Now back in the UK for their November tour, their biggest to date, which will see the band performing to 36,000 people over thirteen nights, culminating in three consecutive nights at London’s 5000 capacity Brixton Academy.

The Boiler Room is a weekly online Ustream broadcast, whereby clubbers are able to experience sets from their favorite DJs in the comfort of their living room. Since it’s first incarnation, literally in a boiler room in Hackney, it has grown to become the go-to place for the very cutting edge in electronic music – whether you’re lucky enough to be there in person, or logging in from anywhere in the world, the boiler room remains one of the finest communities and shared musical experiences available today. Ten times chosen as the best Club in the world, Space will disembark in Brazil bringing so much more than an international established trade for all the different awards received. The opening of the first franchise in Latin America, the third in the world, in Balneário Camboriú, has been confirmed last Tuesday 11th (October) in an afternoon press conference revealing that a new chapter in the Brazilian nightlife will start soon. Space B. Camboriú, the name for the new franchise, will bring from Ibiza a whole new experience as well as an incomparable musical and technological exchange. We also need to add to the world awarded and recognized “know how”, the importance of the local environment. All this information was revealed during the presentation event by the group of partners responsible for this new project. The inauguration will be on the second semester of 2012. Balneário Camboriú is the place chosen for the Brazilian franchise due to a combination of cultural, musical, touristic and economic factors. Like Ibiza, Balneário is a really attractive place for tourists and with exceptional views; it has a potential economy and an exemplary touristic structure. Furthermore, it is well known for the wild nightlife and for the thousands of electronic music lovers.

Situation and Space
Space B. Camboriú, with a capacity of 4 thousand people, is situated in the south access of Balneário Camboriú over a 158 thousand square metres land beside the BR-101 highway and near the tunnel that connects the city with the Interpraias road. With an initial investment of R$ 6 million the architectural project will be integrated into the local nature which is characterized by a hill covered by Atlantic Forest. There, a 15 thousand square metres land will be used for construction but without destruction of the vegetation. A parking for 3 thousand users, a heliport and many different access options will be also integrated to the structure. The project is an initiative of Santa Catarina partners Gerson da Silveira, Herlon Hamm and Narbal Souza, together with Rodrigo Paciornik and Fabrício Peçanha, known in the music scene as part of the group “Life is a Loop”. Gerson and Herlon are already working in front of the Parador Beach Club, Djunn Music and Parador Estaleiro Hotel. Together they disclosed all the details in a press conference that took place before the exclusive party in Parador Beach Club, were this new project was celebrated. Enric Castelló, Space Ibiza International Relations Director, also took part in this event.

Details of the project
The first façade of Space B. Camboriú was shown during the press conference. The details of the inside part will be still kept in secret to surprise the audience. The architecture will incorporate metal structures to the building construction in order to highlight the natural beauty of the place. The project, signed by architect Joseane Mansardo, will transfer into Space an outside environment by using arches that enhance the tropical and breezy weather spirit of the house. The audience comfort will be also a priority for the project. The Club will have 11 different rooms, bars, backstage, lounges, food areas and boxes. There will be three dance floors. The main one will have a great box for big stars with comfort and total visibility. There will be also another conceptual dance floor for styles and electronic vanguard artists. The third dance floor will be in the Terrace, more intimate and exclusive, and honoring the traditional style of Ibiza.

Amazing Sound System for Stars
The technology that Space Ibiza is using for the sound system and the illumination are both a proof of the care and the criterion they bring to the franchises. All the sound equipments are from Funktion-One, the same used in Space Ibiza. It is for many specialized magazines the best system in the world for dance floors, with a high technology that adds up to power and sound quality. The system will be created especially for Space B. Camboriú. A British group of Sound engineers will go there to study the Club, taking into account all the acoustics in order to create the installation project. The last generation illumination will complete the technologic arsenal. This extreme care with the sound system has an explanation: the Club will be bringing all the great stars of the electronic music, from world known stars to those new ones who will be soon on the crest of the wave. Once more, the best musical exchange with Space Ibiza: Amazing DJ´s and projects tours and at least four Space Ibiza official parties every year. As it is a policy of Space Ibiza to take care of the environment, Balneário Camboriú is taking all the required needs for that. A huge study of environmental impact is under way with the aim of guiding the installation of the project. Het is de eerste keer dat de club op tournee gaat in Zuid-Amerika, maar het komende jaar zal Trouw nog zeker vijf keer São Paulo en wellicht ook andere Zuid-Amerikaanse steden aandoen. Dit dankzij Plastic Dreams, het project van Muziek Centrum Nederland waarbij Nederlandse dance artiesten worden ondersteund in het buitenland. Al eerder steunde Plastic Dreams succesvolle avonden van Nederlandse labels in het buitenland. Zo deed Rush Hour een aantal avonden in Londen en organiseerde het Rotterdamse Clone onlangs een avond tijdens Sonar in Barcelona.

De samenwerking tussen D.Edge en Trouw komt niet uit de lucht vallen. Beiden clubs worden alom gezien als internationale top clubs, daarnaast zijn er veel overeenkomsten in de programmering. Toen een delegatie van D.Edge vorig jaar tijdens het Amsterdam Dance Event op bezoek was in Trouw, en daar vervolgens vier nachten bleef hangen, werd het idee om samen te werken geboren.

Op iedere trip zal de club een voltallige crew van Amsterdamse residents meenemen, bij de eerste editie a.s. zaterdag zijn dat Patrice Bäumel, Nuno dos Santos en Olaf Boswijk. Patrice Bäumel is een van Trouw’s bekendste residents en vormt samen met Nuno dos Santos het befaamde dj-duo 360. Zijn goed ontvangen debuutalbum ‘Vapour’ bracht hij eind vorig jaar uit op Trouw. Nuno is een van de meest veelzijdige dj’s van Nederland, binnenkort verschijnt van hem zijn solo debuutsingle op Trouw. Olaf is mede-eigenaar van Trouw en vooral bekend als programmeur van de club.

De Trouw avonden buiten de eigen vertrouwde voormalige krantendrukkerij aan de Wibautstraat beginnen steeds bekender te worden. De eerste labelavond vond begin dit jaar plaats in de befaamde Panoramabar in Berlijn, daarna volgden Doornroosje in Nijmegen, een eigen podium op het Technootjes festival in Groningen en nu dus D.Edge. Hierna volgen er nog Trouw avonden in Cookies in Berlijn (13 oktober), D.Edge weer op 10 december en in Robert Johnson in Offenbach (28 januari 2012).
