De geboorte van het Pacha Festival heeft opzien gebaard. Trotse Amsterdammers kijken er dan ook naar uit om dit unieke festival, onder het genot van de lentezon, ‘thuis’ te verwelkomen. Nu bekend is gemaakt waar, wanneer en waarom Pacha een betoverend effect uitoefent op elke dance fanaat, is het tijd om jouw toenemende nieuwsgierigheid te stillen met iets meer informatie; De bekendmaking van de eerste festival area!

CADENZA PRESENTS VAGABUNDOS
Wie de Pacha beleving eigen heeft gemaakt en voelt, gaat bij het lezen van Vagabundos direct op het puntje van zijn of haar stoel zitten. Vagabundos verzorgt sinds 2010 de zondagavond in de Pacha Ibiza met een wekelijkse residency. Een avond waar de Zwitserse held Luciano en zijn label Cadenza Records de beste club ter wereld wekelijks omtoveren tot een vage bende.

Deze razend populaire avond staat voor dikke underground house en techno, veel entertainment, en bovenal een fantastisch publiek (al dan niet uitgedost met Vagabundos attributen). Met Vagabundos keerde in 2010 de underground house op overtuigende wijze terug in de Pacha op Ibiza.

In de zomer van 2011 werd er nog een prachtig nieuw hoofdstuk toegevoegd aan het succesverhaal van Vagabundos. De nieuwste hotspot van Ibiza, het Ushuaia Beach Hotel, werd geopend met een Vagabundos avond, waarbij ruim 4.000 uitzinnige party-people compleet los gingen . Gedurende het seizoen kwam de Vagabundos karavaan vele malen terug op donderdag @ Ushuaia. Met zo’n grote inbreng op “The White Island” is het duidelijk dat de dance-wereld niet meer om Vagabundos heen kan.

Met de Vagabundos area op Pacha Festival worden terecht hoge verwachtingen geschept. Vanzelfsprekend zal de grote man Luciano hier, met een 3 hrs set, zelf het voortouw in nemen om er zeker van te zijn dat deze verwachtingen worden ingelost. In zijn reis naar het festival op Amsterdamse bodem neemt hij tevens zijn Cadenza helden Michel Cleis, Lee Van Dowski, Cesar Merveille & Frivolous (live) mee om de naam en kwaliteit van Vagabundos tijdens het Pacha Festival op het hoogste niveau te waarborgen.

Nét wanneer je dacht dat de aankondiging van Vagabundos de Pacha kers op dit persbericht was, kan er nog een uitzinnige live act bekend worden gemaakt voor de mainstage. “Sold my Soul”, “Fort Knox” en “Cruising Through”. Kenners begrijpen als geen ander dat de Zuid-Afrikaanse surfer-electro-jazz sensatie Goldfish het dit festival naar een nog hoger niveau kan tillen.

Wat vier jaar geleden voor Dominic Peters en David Poole begon als een spontaan optreden in Pacha Ibiza, mondde uit in een contract bij ‘Pacha Records’. Ten times chosen as the best Club in the world, Space will disembark in Brazil bringing so much more than an international established trade for all the different awards received. The opening of the first franchise in Latin America, the third in the world, in Balneário Camboriú, has been confirmed last Tuesday 11th (October) in an afternoon press conference revealing that a new chapter in the Brazilian nightlife will start soon. Space B. Camboriú, the name for the new franchise, will bring from Ibiza a whole new experience as well as an incomparable musical and technological exchange. We also need to add to the world awarded and recognized “know how”, the importance of the local environment. All this information was revealed during the presentation event by the group of partners responsible for this new project. The inauguration will be on the second semester of 2012. Balneário Camboriú is the place chosen for the Brazilian franchise due to a combination of cultural, musical, touristic and economic factors. Like Ibiza, Balneário is a really attractive place for tourists and with exceptional views; it has a potential economy and an exemplary touristic structure. Furthermore, it is well known for the wild nightlife and for the thousands of electronic music lovers.

Situation and Space
Space B. Camboriú, with a capacity of 4 thousand people, is situated in the south access of Balneário Camboriú over a 158 thousand square metres land beside the BR-101 highway and near the tunnel that connects the city with the Interpraias road. With an initial investment of R$ 6 million the architectural project will be integrated into the local nature which is characterized by a hill covered by Atlantic Forest. There, a 15 thousand square metres land will be used for construction but without destruction of the vegetation. A parking for 3 thousand users, a heliport and many different access options will be also integrated to the structure. The project is an initiative of Santa Catarina partners Gerson da Silveira, Herlon Hamm and Narbal Souza, together with Rodrigo Paciornik and Fabrício Peçanha, known in the music scene as part of the group “Life is a Loop”. Gerson and Herlon are already working in front of the Parador Beach Club, Djunn Music and Parador Estaleiro Hotel. Together they disclosed all the details in a press conference that took place before the exclusive party in Parador Beach Club, were this new project was celebrated. Enric Castelló, Space Ibiza International Relations Director, also took part in this event.

Details of the project
The first façade of Space B. Camboriú was shown during the press conference. The details of the inside part will be still kept in secret to surprise the audience. The architecture will incorporate metal structures to the building construction in order to highlight the natural beauty of the place. The project, signed by architect Joseane Mansardo, will transfer into Space an outside environment by using arches that enhance the tropical and breezy weather spirit of the house. The audience comfort will be also a priority for the project. The Club will have 11 different rooms, bars, backstage, lounges, food areas and boxes. There will be three dance floors. The main one will have a great box for big stars with comfort and total visibility. There will be also another conceptual dance floor for styles and electronic vanguard artists. The third dance floor will be in the Terrace, more intimate and exclusive, and honoring the traditional style of Ibiza.

Amazing Sound System for Stars
The technology that Space Ibiza is using for the sound system and the illumination are both a proof of the care and the criterion they bring to the franchises. All the sound equipments are from Funktion-One, the same used in Space Ibiza. It is for many specialized magazines the best system in the world for dance floors, with a high technology that adds up to power and sound quality. The system will be created especially for Space B. Camboriú. A British group of Sound engineers will go there to study the Club, taking into account all the acoustics in order to create the installation project. The last generation illumination will complete the technologic arsenal. This extreme care with the sound system has an explanation: the Club will be bringing all the great stars of the electronic music, from world known stars to those new ones who will be soon on the crest of the wave. Once more, the best musical exchange with Space Ibiza: Amazing DJ´s and projects tours and at least four Space Ibiza official parties every year. Of course, all this events with the best staging and the greatest performances, the same ones that are turning Ibiza nights into unforgettable moments all over the world. Environmental Study.

As it is a policy of Space Ibiza to take care of the environment, Balneário Camboriú is taking all the required needs for that. A huge study of environmental impact is under way with the aim of guiding the installation of the project. At the same time, there are two matters under study with the same aim: traffic in the area and the impact of the project.

Ook vertelde Armin dat hij gisteravond in de prijzen is gevallen en twee Ibiza DJ Awards in ontvangst mocht nemen, voor ‘Best International DJ’ en ‘Best Trance DJ’. Deze awardshow vond gisteravond plaats in Pacha Ibiza.

Armin van Buuren: ‘Als kind al was ik al gefascineerd door radio en droomde ik van een eigen radioprogramma. Nu komt alles wat ik doe samen in A State Of Trance. Vorig jaar ben ik het avontuur bij 538 gestart en met trots mag ik nu vertellen dat ik tot minstens 2013 aan het coolste station van Nederland verbonden blijf!’

Jan-Willem Brüggenwirth, algemeen directeur Radio 538: ‘We werken al fantastisch samen en willen graag de nummer één DJ van de wereld in huis houden. We zijn waanzinnig blij dat we weer twee jaar met elkaar verder gaan.’

Last year a landmark event in the history of clubbing took place when for the first time in his 20-year music-making career, the all-conquering mastermind of electronic music Richard D James, aka Aphex Twin, played his Ibiza debut at We Love… Space. As anticipated the event held an air of something revolutionary. It feels like everyone’s been waiting the whole year for him to return, to experience the magic all over again and confirm that it wasn’t a dream.

“The booking of Aphex Twin is exactly what defines We Love… as a club night that isn´t afraid to do something a bit different and for me that´s what makes the night so special. The melting pot of the musically eclectic and the dancefloor destroyers. Variety is the spice of life.” James Zabiela.

Putting out his first record ‘Analogue Bubblebath’ in 1991, Aphex has been making music, building his own synthesisers and writing his own computer programmes in his bedroom from the age of 14 which brought about the title of his debut album, ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’. For many people, this was the first exposure into the mind and music of this celebrated musical maverick. Today, his music, released either on the celebrated Warp label or on his own Rephlex imprint is used widely in films, TV adverts and has influenced the likes of Radiohead as well as probably nearly every electronic DJ and producer out there. Aphex’s label coined their own genre Braindance to describe his sound, which applies to forward-thinking electronic music that can appeal to the mind as well as the desire to dance and party.

Joining him in the Discoteca will be We Love’s…offspring James Zabiela who’s continued to fly the flag for the institution having recently celebrated 10 years of his residency; Adding further support are Technasia, DJ Rephlex, and new boy jozif who’s set every set of his alight this year as he’s comfortably settled into his own residency.

Heading up the Terrace will be Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook who last played for We Love…back in 2006 so this marks something of a return for Brighton’s boy wonder. This year he has ticked a lot off his list playing on the Great Wall of China, on a beach in Japan, in Detroit and at Glastonbury. Regularly playing to crowds of 200,000 in Rio, Brazil he’s at home in Space’s sprawling enormity and his visible dynamism and charisma is contagious amongst his adoring masses. 2manydjs and Joris Voorn join him with Rob Da Bank headlining the Sunset Terrace for Rock Nights.

The build up to the grand finale begins on the 4th September with Laurent Garnier’s LBS Sessions feat: Benjamin Rippert & Scan X on the Terrace along side Steve Lawler and jozif. In the discoteca Ivan Smagghe & Tim Paris bring ‘it’s a fine line’ to the discoteca for another We Love… Ibiza debut with Tensnake, Paul Woolford, and Jem Haynes adding support. Sunday 11th September sees Groove Armada present RED LIGHT, along with Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin on the Terrace. And on the 18th September Carl Craig is back and taking over the Discoteca as he plays live with Francesco Tristano accompanying on the piano, Michael Mayer and gentleman of the DJs Ewan Pearson.

So it’s finally here. Another end to another legendary season for We Love… And the best has been saved until last. This is the climatic ending that everyone who loves We Love…deserves. Before Sunday nights and Monday mornings return to their more formal and regulated hours, we can experience something of a rare and magical occasion, as Aphex Twin and Fatboy Slim close the We Love… Space, Ibiza 2011.

This year with a line-up of DJs from true hights among which four of the names of technoid Ibiza scene and are four fireproof figures who are ultra-respected in the international electronic scene. Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Loco Dice and Paco Osuna. The first three have been making appearances on a regular basis during the Cocoon nights this summer and Paco Osuna has seen occasionally on Fridays behind the decks at parties “All Night Long”.

The “closing” of 2009 and 2010 remain in the collective memory, where both events Hawtin and Carola were two of its most important figures, so they will once again become the conductors, alongside Loco Dice to bring us extra-sensory areas in the morning session.

The Zombie Kids are taking the world by storm, not only in Spain having performed at almost every major festival this summer and having excelled in their own parties and events in Sala Heineken in Madrid. The conquest of Australia and USA are expected this fall, but first stop is Amnesia to win the hearts of thousands of followers who flocked to enjoy this electrifying Techno-Rock.

Mar-T is the most visible of the in-house dj’s and has rubbed shoulders over the years with the great and already has become one of them, with his career as a producer taking off, his role as DJ is more than consecrated and achieved becoming the cornerstone of every major event. Caal Smile and Les Schmitz are his henchmen, two faithful squires always effective, knowledgeable of the brand, people and knowing the key to play at the appropiate time, 100% reliability.

But before all this sound is commotion starts, Matinée will demonstrate its great name and deployment of resources to celebrate it’s all out “closing” for Saturday night. All dj’s will be present and give their audience the best of themselves, along with a powerful show, sensual, carnal and contemporary.
