The world’s number 1 DJ Tiësto is back on his mission to Dance4Life with an event to take place on 7th of July. Ambassador for Dance4Life since 2006, Tiësto is set to demonstrate once again his unlimited support for the organisations global initiative to combat AIDS with this one-off event in the world’s biggest club, Privilege Ibiza.

The idea for the Dance4Life Ibiza event was suggested by Tiësto and his management in a bid to raise both awareness and funds for the Non Govermental Organisation to help develop their programme in Ibiza, Mallorca, Barcelona and Cantabria. Monies raised on the night of the event will go towards educating some 10,000 Spanish teenagers in the prevention of HIV & AIDS, through a series of programmes organized hand in hand with Balearic NGO~ ALAS, owners of the license for Dance4Life Spain.

Tiësto will be joined in the DJ booth by a number of other internationally known names including Robbie Rivera, Richard Grey, Marcello Marchitto and Ricky Rivaro, the party starts at 11.59 and ends at 06.00.

Since first pledging his commitment to Dance 4 Life in The Hague in 2006, Tiësto has led and participated in a number of AIDS combating initiatives, from heading up the Dance4Life truck at the Berlin Love Parade to participating in the Inauguration Ceremony of the International AIDS Conference in Toronto. He also produced the ‘Dance4Life’ anthem alongside Maxi Jazz (Faithless); the track went on to become a hit in a number of countries worldwide, as well as DJing at numerous Dance4Life events. In 2007, Tiësto journeyed to South Arica to take a first hand look at some of the projects benefitting from Dance4Life. According to him, “Dance4Life appeals to me as both an artist and a human being. Their work with the world’s young people is very ambitious; Dance4Life offers the kids a wide variety of ways to get involved, always with an end goal of huge music event where dance is the protagonist. It is this fusion of dance and entertainment that motivates so many young people worldwide to unite for a common challenge: combating HIV&AIDS.”
