Watch out! The Voodoo People are coming! Lead by their insatiable, irrepressible head Witch Doctor Erick Morillo, Voodoo Nights is the concept for Subliminal Sessions 2010 and we’re already afraid that this is going to be the most spine-tingling, show-stopping house music season we’ve ever seen at Pacha.
“Voodoo Nights is our direction this summer, which I’m very excited about,” says Erick. “I’ll be the resident witch doctor using my spectacular voodoo skills to put the dance floor under my spell! It’s going to be very sexy, with lots of girls running around and being sacrificed! The opening party is myself and Steve Angello, who’s become one of my closest friends and allies in the industry. I’ve watched him grow into one of the biggest names in house music so I’m really happy he’s still supporting Subliminal.”
Steve Angello isn’t the only name returning to Subliminal in 2010. Having last performed live with Erick back in 2004, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs will also be returning with his Diddy Dirty Money crew to rock the club sideways on August 4th. Alongside Jay-Z, Diddy remains the biggest force working in hip hop and like Erick himself, is undoubtedly one of the hardest working men in show business. His new album ‘Last Train To Paris’ is out in June. We’re also welcoming back Fake Blood, who last played at Subliminal in 2000 as The Wiseguys. We’re delighted to be welcoming both these world-class artists back to the party. Fake Blood performs on August 18th.
Of course, there are also some Subliminal family members who we can’t possibly not give a nod to, Subliminal stalwarts Harry Choo Choo Romero, Jose Nunez and Richard Grey. And returning acts include Get Physical party-starters M.A.N.D.Y., the legendary Louie Vega, hot Subliminal signing Eddie Thoneick, Dirty South and the awesome A-Trak to name but a few. Opening on June 2nd and with the closing party on September 29th, we guarantee that after one trip to Voodoo Nights, you will be mesmerized. Be afraid.
