After the phenomenal success of the inaugural URBAN IN IBIZA extravaganza in September of 2009, it was obvious that the organisers of said event were on to something not just innovative on the island of dance but revolutionary. The decision to take the concept to the next level in 2010 has been applauded by fans of urban lifestyle both in Ibiza and the U.K, who wait with baited breath for the unveiling of this year’s event.

Last year’s event was something of an historical moment- on an island famed for its affinity with dance music, Urban in Ibiza proved that there definitely was, and is, a place for urban art, music and street style in the heart of Ibiza. And so it is then, that the island’s cosmopolitan crowd, its urban music aficionados and its art collectors are set to reunite en masse for this, the second installment of URBAN IN IBIZA.

Set in the grounds of the spectacular rural hotel, ATZARO, in the north of Ibiza , the annual event will once again bring together their stable of urban artists, all ready and williing to transform the idyllic location of the 5 Star location into a 3 dimensional Graffiti extravaganza combined with a live music line-up and and fashion show that promises to top all expectations.

Headling the 2010 event is all round shape shifter and talent meister GOLDIE, a man who hardly needs an introduction- the iconic drum and bass pioneer, DJ, recording artist and actor, the man who launched the MetalHeadz movement and singlehandedly changed the face of Urban music as we know it, and who more recently has become a stalwart of urban art with his work continuosly sitting alongside that of internationally reowned Banksy. So in demand is he that his recent artistic donation to charity, at the Old Vics Gala Dinner in July of this year, raised an astounding £15, 000. Amongst other pieces to be shown at Urban in Ibiza, exclusive prints from his Wonderland collection, as commissioned by its main man, Pete Tong, as well as other one off pieces.

Add to that the long list of other artists involved- K-Guy, Dan Baldwin, Jamie Reid, Fin Dac, Ben Allen, Shoe, Chu, George Morton Clark, Liliwenn, David Walker, Schoony, Static, Busk One, Agent Provocateur and Don, and it becomes pretty obvious to those who know their stuff that this is an event not to be missed.
