Insomniac, America’s premier electronic festival producers, have teamed up with iconic dance brand, Pacha New York to debut Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) at the MetLife Stadium, New York on May 18-20. If that isn’t enough, they are releasing the highly anticipated line-up for this three day, four stage extravaganza today including some of the biggest heavy weights to hit the decks including Afrojack, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Sebastian Ingrosso, Armin van Buuren and Pendulum.
As the first allotment of tickets flew out within only a few hours, Insomniac and Pacha New York decided to add an extra day with more tickets to support the overwhelming demand.
“It was a testament to the strength of our brands, and electronic music in general” says Eddie Dean, co-owner of Pacha New York who partnered with Insomniac to produce the event. “New Yorkers are a tough crowd to please, but they could hardly contain their excitement for a chance to experience EDC at home.”
“We felt a buzz coming from East Coast fans and decided that New York, with the right venue, would be the perfect stop for EDC,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac Events. “We’re excited to bring our unique multisensory festival experience to the New York area, a kind of show I have yet to see delivered in this market.”
EDC is a fully immersive festival experience that features hundreds of theatrical performers, interactive art installations, pyrotechnics, special effects and state of the art production including a fireworks show that could challenge the Olympic opening ceremony.
