With not just one, but two more amazing parties to look forward to after another phenomenal summer party season, Carl Cox and Safehouse Management are keen to wrap up the 2012 Ibiza dance season with a bang. According to Lynn Cosgrave from Safehouse Management, this year topped all the 10 revolutionary years before it. “The energy at Space and at our sun-kissed afternoon parties at Sands Ibiza was at an all-time high. This has a lot to do with the fact that The Revolution Recruits is a two way street: On the one hand, it’s about the quality of artists. Not only does Carl consistently delivers one unforgettable mix after another but he has the experience and reputation to be able to personally curate a top notch roster of international artists. On the other hand, we experienced an amazing group of fans this year, all of them equally passionate about music and dancing and creating a positive vibe.“ Lynn adds: “End of the season parties are like watching the most beautiful sunset on the last day of a holiday. It’s both a moving farewell and an energy boost for the coming winter months.“

Set the music free: Carl’s Revolution Recruits
The concept of The Revolution Recruits threads its way through all of Carl’s artistic ventures in 2012 – starting with the Tuesday night parties at Space Ibiza but also encompassing various other international tours such as the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Tomorrowlands or the upcoming Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) as well as his Global Radio Show. Regardless of the venue, Carl and Safehouse Management have consistently stuck to their guns in showcasing top international DJ talent as well as moving electronic music forward by debuting the next generation of DJs. “There is so much good music out there and I’m always happy to enjoy a good party with artists and a crowd who are up for celebrating with me,“ says Carl. Obviously this idea reverberates with lots of folks, given that every Carl event was at capacity this year. Another definite Space highlight was Carl’s 50th birthday party at Space – one of the summer’s most talked about events.

It’s a family affair: Carl’s Sands Ibiza Soul & Funk Party

There are notable differences between Carl’s closing party at Space Ibiza and the Soul & Funk Party at his beach bar venture, Sands Ibiza. The first is that you need to book early to secure a place for Carl’s Closing Party at Space, whereas the Sands party is free. Space Ibiza is also very much an over-18 hyper energetic dance event with a state-of-the-art light show and sound set-up, whereby the Funk & Soul Party is more of a chill-out, open house which starts in the afternoon and has Carl walking around between sets shaking hands and sipping a cocktail with friends and fans. The terrace and the beach are also teaming with kids skipping around to the beat – tomorrow’s generation of dance fans. “Sands is a really great place to spend the day. The food is obviously amazing. The vibe is totally friendly and relaxed and everyone feels comfortable here: from the many international DJs who find refuge here after playing at Space the night before, to families and island visitors,“ comments Carl, who sends his personal invitation to come and be part of these events. Two awesome parties within two days is certainly a great way to toast the end of another revolutionary summer offensive.
