The 21st edition of Sónar Barcelona ​​to be held on 12, 13 & 14 June 2014, today unveils the first 25 names in its line-up. The main highlights will be the debut of Massive Attack’s new show and the long awaited come back of Plastikman, this time at Sonar by Day and introducing his new live concept.

The best worldwide electronica talents are among the first confirmed names:
Four Tet, James Holden, Jon Hopkins, Oneohtrix Point Never, Evian Christ, Caribou, Matmos, Gesaffelstein, Downliners Sekt, Jessy Lanza, Copeland, Nisennenmondai, Woodkid, Bonobo, Moderat and I am Legion among others.

Massive Attack have chosen Sónar Barcelona 2014 to present a brand new show which will move a step further their ongoing audio visual exploration of agitation propaganda and technology.

From his own new recordings and live show as Plastikman at Sonar By Day, in its European exclusive date, to his new standpoint on modern day performing as Richie Hawtin in the main hall of Sonar By Night with his new Close concept, the artist shows both sides of his musical character over two days of Sonar Barcelona.

The 2-Night tickets will go on sale today.

The Sonar 2014 international agenda opens in February with two simultaneous festivals to be held in Iceland and Sweden and will close in December 2014 in Cape Town. The Nordic Sonar weekend will take place on 13, 14 & 15 February in Reykjavik and 14 & 15 February in Stockholm. In total, Sonar has scheduled around 100 performances between the two cities.
