Time flies! It’s almost been a year since The Shell started pulsing a new wave. A shared dancefloor experience of dj’s, acts, staff and all of you who couldn’t resist to join in. A surge of extraordinary music, extravaganza and random acts of debauchery. In a nutshell: a night outside of the Box, but in true Studio 80 spirit!

The Shell is a monthly trip into house music; from its disco roots to the groovy shades of today. A trip that has been made over the years as well by our anniversary guest: Gerd. Since the early 90’s he has covered a wide range of subgenres with as many different monikers.

From hi-tech soul as Gerd and Sensurreal (mostly on his own 4Lux imprint), through space-disco as Amplified Orchestra, and techno as Literon, to his recent house bangers as Geeeman, NY Stomp and (still!) Gerd. A versatile output with one steadiness: quality! Just the way we like it.

Your resident captains Victor Coral and Musclefarm aka Aron Friedman & Eric de Man will join Gerd on his journey in The Big Shell. As usual, the Little Shell will be the playground for the fresh crop of Amsterdam night culture, with a tableau vivant by our beloved partners-in-crime, De Nachtvlinders. Nu-grooves and afrobeats provided by Cinema Royale and Radio Noet-Noet.

On Friday the 28th of February we will shellebrate edition XII together.
