Defected and Giuseppe Cipriani proudly announce that Defected In The House will return to BoOom! Ibiza for a 20-week long season: every Tuesday night from 20 May until 30 September 2014.

The Defected In The House Opening Party will mark the very start of the summer season – Tuesday 20 May – one day ahead of the International Music Summit (IMS). Following the success of last year’s debut season at BoOom! Ibiza, the 2014 summer programme promises an even better and more diverse weekly house event with an exciting line up of some of the world’s finest DJs and live acts already confirmed to play. MK, Kenny Dope, Guti, Noir, Chasing Kurt, Oliver $ will each make several appearances and be joined throughout the season by Defected regulars Sam Divine, Simon Dunmore, Franky Rizardo, Copyright, Sonny Fodera and Flashmob. Further acts will be announced over the coming weeks.

Says Defected Records’ founder Simon Dunmore: “Our 2014 season is our most ambitious to date. A Tuesday night residency is a ballsy move, but one that will allow us to further consolidate our presence on the island whilst building upon our phenomenal first season at BoOom! Ibiza.

Recently, DJs have been prioritising the European festival circuit so moving away from the weekend will give us greater access to a broader talent pool and allow us to evolve our line ups. The current House renaissance, along with the fact we are celebrating our 15th anniversary this spring, makes this summer an exciting proposition.

In 2014, Defected celebrates not only a consecutive 12 years of White Isle summer residencies, but also the label’s 15-year anniversary since its inception back in 1999. Defected’s glowing reputation in Ibiza is well-founded and last year Defected In The House quickly settled into its new home at BoOom! Ibiza following a high-profile departure from its long-held residency at Pacha. The first Defected season at Booom! delivered some of the most memorable nights anywhere on the island last season, with the club managing demand only by opening early yet still reaching capacity within an hour of doors opening.

BoOom! Ibiza has enjoyed a successful first winter season: with the club opening every weekend, it has become a favourite nightlife destination among islanders. With a name globally synonymous with style and quality, Giuseppe Cipriani is intends to bring a new level of service to all customers. Clubbers can look forward to further refinements to the world’s first Pioneer Club Sound System, improvements to the club’s state-of-the-art lighting and visual installation alongside a variety of developments that will increase the overall clubbers experience.

I am extremely thrilled to have the infectious energy and sound of Defected back at BoOom! Ibiza. This is the first of many exciting announcements to come” says Giuseppe Cipriani.

Praise for Defected’s 2013 season:

Defected In The House closed out the season as BoOom!’s most successful venture… combin[ing] their classic house style with a wealth of adventurous new bookings. Defected have managed uphold their glowing reputation on the island. Regularly filling the club to capacity, it stands as the best place for house music on a Saturday. Resident Advisor

While [Booom!] itself has experienced see-sawing fortunes this season, the huge queues outside [for the Closing Party], shoulder-to-shoulder dancefloor and the fact they hit capacity by half past one… capped off a season to remember for Defected in The House. Ibiza Spotlight

It’s no secret that the latest venue on the Ibiza clubbing landscape didn’t get off to the best start… but once it did finally open its doors, it’s fair to say that Defected In The House was one of its success stories. Essential Ibiza
