No one will argue the fact that Steve Rachmad has had a wicked 2014, in which he revived his STERAC alias and set dance floors on fire all across the world. During a busy year including an America tour and playing all the larger festivals like Timewarp, Welcome to the Future and Dekmantel Festival, kis. has been his steady home base at Studio 80 throughout the year. Now as the first edition of 2015 with The Mole live is approaching rapidly on February 28th the excitement for a new year of kis. events is definitely on the rise!

Kis ‘keep it simple.’ is not necessarily meant as basic or simple as such. Rather, it is about simple pleasures in life; straightforward, true, inspirational. It doesn’t revolve around status, hype or trends. It’s about quality, relevant electronic music, from 80s disco, over house, deep and tech-house, to techno, and everything in-between. It’s about talented DJs and the public who knows to recognize the talent. It’s also about spending time with friends; surrounded by similar-minded cross-generation individuals.

The kis. parties at Studio 80 last year also brought to light Steve’s love for Canadians. After having invited Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts and Cobblestone Jazz, it’s now up to Colin de la Plante – better known as The Mole – to carry his gear along for a highly anticipated live set. The Mole has built up his excellent reputation by putting out classic releases for over more than a decade and is sure to put this experience to good use during his live show!

Warming up in Studio 1 are the guys behind one of Amsterdam’s finest labels for lovers of quality house music, TAPE. Interstellar Funk was invited for the last kis. – this time it’s up to Jeroen Kok and Berend Kirch. Closing the night is of course Steve Rachmad himself, and even though his motto is to Keep It Simple, we’re pretty sure he’ll blow your mind once again. Studio 2 will dive into the deep with local heroes Avos and Ferro. Rhythms that keep on rolling, vibes that keep on going; it’s the perfect place to keep those feet moving.
