Presently on it’s third phase and with yet more waves to be made, We Are FSTVL are moving with all the momentum of a leading lineup toward another record year for sales – in keeping with reputations year on year! Not simply playing on the prestige of being awarded DJ Mag’s Best Dance Festival at the end of last year, the event betters itself further on return to Upminster, Greater London the weekend of 28 – 29th May by building 5 new themed worlds on a restructured site and now booking Armand Van Helden, Maya Jane Coles, Henrik Schwarz, Simon Dunmore, Ben Pearce and more.
As We Are FSTVL reaches these new heights it reflects dance music at it’s apex, in a host of classic and current talent. Joining the ranks is Armand Van Helden, promising to bring a party to Sunday’s Defected stage perfected over a near 30-year career at the centre of dance culture. Pulling rank is Henrik Schwarz, among the top ten live acts of 2015 as voted for in the Resident Advisor poll; the Innervisions label visionary brings a show sculpted for seas of festival goers. Aside this another victor of the DJ Mag Awards makes her appearance on the Paradise stage, Maya Jane Coles, bringing the Best of British bass to it’s best party.
Elsewhere expansions of the bill bring it close to bursting point, with Half Baked and Defected Record’s Glitterbox announcing more from who they will be drafting onto their decks. The former promotes their picks from emerging stars in Hold Youth, Sam Banguara and Sam Daik; the latter ensures the party demanded in starting their club brand is in ample supply, with a live show from Barbara Tucker to enamour crowds further and the genius of percussion that is Shovell on crew. Bringing the feast FSTVL have brewing close to boiling point, the prodigal Ben Pearce assures that this sell-out event reels in it’s remaining revelers.
