Here it is! It’s now officially Appelsap season, as Amsterdam’s Appelsap Fresh Music Festival launches it’s visual campaign, this year titled ‘ONE LOVE’, shot by Dutch photographer Lotte van Raalte. Each year, Appelsap’s visual campaign sets the mood for Holland’s leading Hip-hop event, celebrating unity, peace and friendship, all values at the core of the Appelsap ethos. Appelsap Festival 2017 will go down on Saturday August 12 2017, with acts like Lil Wayne, Dave, 67, Siobhan Bell and many more to be announced. It’s come a long way since the small Amsterdam block jam started over 15 years ago.
Starting in Cape Town, South Africa, the campaign shows unique characters from Appelsap’s universal family, and will be rolled out fully in coming months to other global cities. A full photo campaign will also join 15 short teaser videos were directed by Basha de Bruijn with help of the students from the Township Film School in Langa. The visuals portray different key players from the international cultural (music) scene, in this first release we see South African artists like Dope Saint Jude, Boolz and Blaq Slim.
