Continuing the Road to Croatia this spring, Defected will be taking over Motion in Bristol on Saturday 14th April with label favourites Amine Edge & Dance, Low Steppa, Sam Divine and very special guest Claptone.
Berlin beat maestro and good friend of the label Claptone has occupied the charts ever since ‘No Eyes’ pushed him into the spotlight. When the mysterious deep house producer dropped his remix of Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’ it became a global smash. Having released The Masquerade mix via Defected, the masked artist has become a regular headliner for the imprint and appears at Motion in the build-up to the release of his second artist album and a spot at Defected Croatia.
French-born duo Amine Edge & Dance made a promising debut on the label last year with their ‘Good Time EP’. The pair will be bringing their bass-heavy sound guaranteed to get the party in full swing. Low Steppa, also a recent addition to the Defected family, is locked in to serve up some signature beats after completing his first summer as a Defected Ibiza resident. No Defected party in Bristol would be complete without first lady of the label Sam Divine flying the flag, delivering all your most loved Defected tracks old and new to her hometown crowd.
Motion, a former skate park, is now Bristol’s biggest nightclub with an over 2000-people capacity. It houses a spectacular warehouse-style main room along with three additional rooms and an impressive outdoor terrace overlooking the river Avon. After Defected’s sold out event at Motion in July last year, the party is a guaranteed roadblock, seeing one of Defected’s most long-standing residents come together with newer additions to blast the label’s freshest output.
