Joining one of London’s most colourful new festivals in its second year, Glitterbox’s stage at Mighty Hoopla on Sunday 3rd June will host Todd Terry, Simon Dunmore, Hifi Sean, Luke Solomon and the full force of the Glitterbox dance crew bringing Ibiza’s hedonistic spirit to Brockwell Park. After an inaugural event in 2017, which welcomed 15,000 revellers and huge names from across the spectrum of chart-toppers, house music, disco and alternative club culture, the festival moves to a new South London location with the Glitterbox extravaganza in tow.

Headliner and Glitterbox favourite Todd Terry never fails to bring the party, his repertoire of classic house laced with curveball selections make for festival sets full of surprises. Joining him will be the head of Glitterbox himself Simon Dunmore, lighting up the stage with his intuitive mix of soulful, vocal house and disco. Two stalwarts of London’s underground scene make up the bill, Savage resident Hifi Sean and label head Luke Solomon, DJ Mag’s ‘Soldier of the Scene’ for 2017 and a guaranteed party-starter. Last but not least, no Glitterbox event would be complete without the dancers, drag queens and club kids who make up the dance crews. Mighty Hoopla is the ultimate celebratory rave making Glitterbox’s 21st century disco right at home. With the most extravagant production, flamboyant performers, and the kind of dancefloor hedonism that has made it the island’s (and the UK’s) most talked-about party, Glitterbox’s debut festival appearance at Mighty Hoopla is one not to be missed.

Over the last twelve months the Glitterbox phenomenon has grown exponentially, touring the world, and becoming one of London’s most in-demand events, selling out shows months in advance. Meanwhile, the weekly Glitterbox Radio Show continuously occupies iTunes #1 spot for music podcasts, and Glitterbox Recordings has released the hottest new music from the likes of Debbie Jacobs, Folamour, Aeroplane, Dr Packer, Ralphi Rosario, Mousse T. and The Shapeshifters. Not to mention the compilations selected and mixed by Simon Dunmore, proving that the spirit of disco is alive and kicking. Over the summer, Glitterbox will be touching down in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Bristol, Manchester and Zürich plus many more, while its 18-date residency at Hï Ibiza returns on Friday 1st June.
