Defected returns to the USA for a 4-date tour touching down in San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago and Los Angeles. Back by popular demand after five years, Defected bring long-term resident, radio presenter and much-loved DJ Sam Divine for all four dates plus Derrick Carter, Riva Starr, Melé and Jacky.
The tour kicks off at San Francisco’s uber-stylish dance destination Halcyon on Friday, 2nd November. Beat technician Jacky, a Defected Ibiza resident and breakthrough tech-inclined house producer with releases on DFTD in his growing catalogue, joins Sam for an explosive start to the tour. Opened in 2016, Halcyon has hosted the likes of Carl Cox, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer and Mood II Swing and has quickly established itself as a go-to for Californian clubbers with a distinctive neon-lit after-hours space. Next up, bringing Defected’s finest to the capital, Jacky and Sam do it over again at Washington DC’s Flash nightclub on Wednesday, 7th November. Flash’s intimate setting will be a unique way to experience Defected’s irresistible brand of house music – expertly mixed, forward-thinking and with plenty of soul.
Making a very special stop at a mecca of house music history, Smart Bar in Chicago on Friday, 9th November, Defected comes correct with a heavy hitting line-up appropriate for one of the birthplaces of house culture. A Chicago legend and an unstoppable character on the house music scene for over two decades, none other than Derrick Carter headlines at Smart Bar joined by the latest inductee to the In The House hall of fame, Melé, with his unique Latin flavours and edits. Of course Sam is one not to miss in Chicago too and she continues on to the last stop on the tour, Sound in LA on Saturday, 10th November along with a long-time Defected favourite, Riva Starr. In the heart of Hollywood, Sound’s cutting edge space presents the ultimate location to see out the tour.
