Defected’s evolution continues with two huge New Year’s events in London and Manchester. Established in London in 1999, next year marks 20 years of London-based institution Defected, one of the longest running and most influential imprints in house music. The New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day events will kick off the 2019 campaign under the slogan HOUSE MUSIC ALL LIFE LONG.

On Monday 31stDecember, MK will headline at Printworks London, Defected’s first event to mark the label’s 20th year in music. A colossally successful leading light of the house music community, chart-topper MK is a staple of Defected’s main stages, his instantly recognisable piano-laden production sound and vocal-led sets making him one of house music’s key enduring must-sees. He is joined by a Defected favourite special guest (to be announced soon), plus man of the moment Purple Disco Machine, Low Steppa with his signature unmissable driving sets, Defected head Simon Dunmore, producer of hot Defected cut ‘Nobody’ David Penn and new roster recruit Jess Bays.

Printwork’s multi-purpose venue is changing the face of the capital’s music scene, with staggering lighting and sound production, original machinery and industrial features retained from its time as a fully operational printing press. The club shares Defected’s dedication to innovation in house music and is successfully changing the landscape of London’s nightlife cultural, one groundbreaking party at a time.

On Tuesday 1stJanuary, O2 Victoria Warehouse will hold the very first Defected event of 2019 starting at 5pm, featuring Claptone, Todd Terry, Purple Disco Machine, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Amine Edge & DANCE, Simon Dunmore and Jess Bays. A world-class artist who articulates Defected’s affinity with soul-infused, vocal-led house, Claptone’s name is synonymous with global hit remixes like Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’ and sets that favour euphoric moments and undeniable house grooves. Claptone is joined by a roll call of Defected’s greats, including the producer of one of this year’s defining tracks, ‘Dished (Male Stripper)’ Purple Disco Machine and label head, presenter and powerhouse Sam Divine.

Situated on the edge of Trafford Park, Victoria Warehouse’s monumental canal-side warehouse venue continues the city’s raving legacy and promises to make the first clubbing day in the calendar a memorable one.

Defected’s New Year parties will celebrate everything there is to love about house music –inclusivity, togetherness and escapism on the dancefloor. Both nights will feature the very finest house DJ’s playing the incredible music to which Defected owes its enduring prestige, with line-ups to be announced in early October. Tickets for both parties are on sale now.
