The new era at Joshua Brooks is finally here with the brand new ownership team announcing a stunning series of events. Between now and April, some of underground music’s most forward thinking brands and DJs will line up including a Butterz label party with Flava D, Elijah & Skillam and Royal T, Moxy Muzik with Darius Syrossian and Alisha, plus Ben Klock, DJ Rush, Goldie, Richy Ahmed, Mason Maynard, Kerri Chandler All Night Long, wAFF as well as MVSON Collective, You&Me, Rossko, Jax Jones, Dimitri From Paris, Sam Divine, Interplanetary Criminal and many more. Joshua Brooks is literally an underground club that has played a key part in Manchester’s music scene since inception in 1993. Known for its intimate and personal parties, world class sound system and raw, stripped back aesthetic, it has been the scene of many a legendary party and is now looking forward to doing what it does best in 2022 with a mix of red hot new names and enduring pioneers all line-up to start this new chapter.

Amongst the highlights of the new year will be a full take over by influential grime, bass and garage label Butterz with key associates Flava D, Royal T, Elijah & Skilliam on 4th February, then the monthly return of the ever popular Darius Syrossian with his edgy and no frills Moxy Muzik house music residency on the 5th. wAFF plays Feb 12th, You&Me returns with Josh Baker and Local Dub on the 18th, while the vital Haus22 returns for their residency with Berghain techno titan Ben Klock on the 19th and legendary Chicago selector DJ Rush on the 25th before drum & bass legend Goldie brings his vital Metalheadz label for a take over on the 26th February.

March 5th is a house lover’s dream with Four Thirty Two with boss man Richy Ahmed and after an International Women’s Day special with Kaz Curates, weekly parties will welcome the likes of cutting edge talents Darkzy & DJ Q who will bring the garage sounds, house master Mason Maynard plays Kaluki, Back to Basics resident Tristan Da Cunha plays Do As You Please on March 13th, and the US house legend and pioneer of the deep Kerri Chandler will reach into every corner of his record bag for an all night long set on March 18th. As well as that Rossko & Manda Moore play and Some Days have a very special guest to be announced.

Beyond that and into April, the likes of Moxy Musik returns with Darius Syrossian, Sam Divine plays as part of the Cloud 9 Tour on April 9th, Interplanetary Criminal brings his fresh garage on April 19th, Dimitri From Paris serves up a disco masterclass on the 15th for God Made Me Funky, Jax Jones kicks off the first of three residency dates on April 22nd, BLANC presents: Shermanology for a big one on April 23rd and Eli & Fur amongst others will all line up.

This is set to be another unmissable season in Manchester’s favourite underground basement.
