Setting the label up for a momentous year ahead, the unstoppable force that is Defected will kick off 2024 with a never-done-before series of New Year parties across the globe.
Further cementing the brand as a global sensation, Defected will continue its ambitions to take its house brand worldwide with an epic series of celebrations across six continents. Powering dance-floors for New Year 2024 in Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North and South America, the label’s hometown of London will also see one of the city’s most dedicated events teams prepare for a double-header party at the iconic OVO Arena, Wembley.
With the label’s community at the heart of everything it does, 2024’s New Year campaign will centre around the theme of connection, with music serving as the catalyst. A play on the theory that any one person is linked to another through six or less connections, Defected’s campaign will focus on the importance of human relationships, honouring its global community of music-lovers that have been its driving force for the last 25 years. With each continent representing a connection, partygoers from all corners of the globe will come together for a mammoth celebration of music and its globally unifying power.
Stepping into a new era of its annual London tradition which has previously seen the label host parties at the city’s Ministry of Sound and the much-celebrated Printworks, this New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day will for the first time be hosted at one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. Host to the world’s most prestigious touring artists and sporting events, both Defected and Glitterbox will welcome fans for a back-to-back takeover at London’s OVO Arena, Wembley.
Soundtracking London’s New Year’s Eve spectacle will be the mighty Armand Van Helden plus Defected favourites Sam Divine with her authoritative blend of unadulterated house and undiscovered gems, hit-makers Low Steppa and Ferreck Dawn, label boss Prunk and rising star Rio Tashan. A not-to-be-missed takeover by Glitterbox on 1st January 2024 will welcome party starters Eats Everything, Groove Armada, John Morales, Melvo Baptiste, Natasha Diggs, The Duke and The Shapeshifters alongside its exuberant crew of performers and surprise confetti moments.
Providing a destination for music-lovers to unite no matter their location, Defected New Year 2024 marks another milestone for the label whose ambitions to push the boundaries of the dance music landscape show no signs of slowing down.
