The very last event of Defected’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Defected New Year’s Eve 2024 will take place at The Warehouse Project in Manchester. On Tuesday 31st December 2024, Depot Mayfield’s Depot, Concourse and Archive stages will host three distinct stages by Defected, Glitterbox and Melé’s Club Bad respectively.
Defected’s defining house sound will dominate the Depot stage, with the fiery line-up fit for the occasion including Darius Syrossian, Groove Armada, Low Steppa, Olive F, Sam Divine, Shermanology and Rio Tashan. Expect the usual world-class visuals and sound production from Defected, as the A-list artists and residents honor the brand’s anniversary year with slick house music and impeccable skill.
Glitterbox brings its signature disco, soul and funk vibes to the Concourse, with colourful sets from Kiddy Smile, Melvo Baptiste, Mousse T., Sophie Lloyd, The Shapeshifters, Zach Witness, and a very special live PA from iconic house vocalist Barbara Tucker. A Glitterbox party is truly unlike any other, known for their inclusive appeal, spectacular production value and world class performers accompanying the throwback sonics.
Melé’s Club Bad label and defining Liverpudlian party brand will join Defected and Glitterbox for a stage takeover like no other, bringing Aroop Roy, Bontan, Melé B2B KILIMANJARO and Storm Mollison to help make Defected New Year’s Eve an unforgettable event and a shining finish to their epic anniversary celebrations.
The party closes the London brand’s most ambitious year to date, one that has seen Defected expand its global event series for a world tour that has reached Argentina, Canada, India, Indonesia, Turkey and many more.
Additionally, Defected has released a series of extra special collaborative records Together throughout 2024 – culminating in a limited-edition Vinyl Box Set, plus a 25th Anniversary Book written by former Mixmag editor Nick Gordon Brown, celebrating the legacy of Defected Records, out now.
