XP Music Futures promises an unforgettable three-day event this December, with dynamic panels, interactive workshops, and electrifying music showcases spotlighting talent from the region and beyond XP Music Futures, the groundbreaking music conference by the MDLBEAST Foundation, has revealed the final lineup of speakers, sessions, and exclusive events for its highly anticipated 2024 edition. Taking place from 5th to 7th December in Riyadh’s JAX District, this year’s programme promises an engaging mix of cutting-edge discussions, hands-on workshops, and live music performances. The event continues its mission to foster growth, innovation, and global collaboration within the MENA music ecosystem.

This year marks an expansion into rock and metal music, with exclusive sessions and a new competition designed to elevate the genre in the region. The PWR CHORD Guitar Competition offers aspiring guitarists from around the world a chance to showcase their talent on a global stage. Judged by a panel of renowned experts, including Kiko Loureiro (former guitarist of Grammy-winning band Megadeth), Madani Zakri, Faisal Al-Alamy, Lilas Mayassi, and Asim Searah, the competition will culminate in live performances at XP Music Futures. Winners will receive prizes, including a guitar signed by Loureiro, alongside career-boosting opportunities.

The conference will feature two standout rock and metal sessions, including “The Evolution of Rock & Metal in the Arab World,” which explores the journey of the region’s underground scene to mainstream prominence, with insights from industry leaders like Usama Deabes, founder of Metal Blast Festival, Lilas Mayassi, guitarist and founder of the all-female Lebanese band Slave to Sirens, and Luis Oregon, CEO of OREGON Producciones. Meanwhile, “Shredding Legend: Kiko Loureiro, Beyond Megadeth & Angra” offers an in-depth look at the realities of life in a rock band, as the iconic guitarist shares his experiences navigating the balance between creativity, commercial pressures, and the challenges of touring in an evolving industry.

Entry to XP Music Futures is free for kids, with a range of youth-focused sessions designed to inspire the next generation of music enthusiasts. Highlights include DJ Masterclasses and “Rock Out Like a Rock Star” sessions, offering hands-on experiences in music creation and performance. Global icon David Guetta will host an exclusive masterclass, sharing stories and insights from his legendary career, while multi-talented young mogul Cordell Broadus will lead the session “Athlete to Entrepreneur”, exploring the journey of transitioning from sports to business. The programme also features Moja 2.0, a collaborative session by the Music Commission and Anghami, aimed at discovering and nurturing emerging Saudi talents, further spotlighting the region’s creative potential.

As XP Music Futures prepares for its fourth edition, it continues to solidify its reputation as a platform for innovation and collaboration. By bridging regional and international music scenes, it remains a catalyst for cultural exchange and artistic growth.
