Continuing to cement itself as a standout European destination for forward-thinking culture, Flow Festival Helsinki has announced even more names joining a stacked 2025 programme that celebrates the here and now with a broad and diverse festival experience not seen anywhere else.
After a landmark set back in 2022, Burna Boy returns to Flow in 2025 as a true global icon blazing a trail for an entire generation. One of the most celebrated live performers on the planet – his larger than life presence has seen him pack stadiums and the biggest stages on the planet over the past few years, all whilst scooping Grammy Awards and setting records at every turn. In what’s sure to be a standout moment in Helsinki this summer, Burna Boy returns to make even more history when he calls into Flow Festival for a set that can not be missed.
Also revealed today is the critically-revered sounds and history that come from Black Star, the collaborative project bringing together Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli. Respected as two of the most important voices in hip-hop history, their work has not only shaped an entire genre but has provided defining statements for societal and cultural change – as artists who defiantly do things their own way. After bringing Black Star back in 2023 for their anticipated second studio album ‘No Fear Of Time’ – their Flow Festival debut is set to be an historic chance to catch two icons in the flesh. They’re joined in the latest wave of names by some of Finland’s most creative and essential artists in the return of indie-pop breakthrough favourite Goldielocks and pioneers of dark/heavy space metal titans Oranssi Pazuzu – perfectly capturing what makes Flow Festival Helsinki so unique. Reaching across genre and boundaries, it’s a celebration of something more unified.
These new additions join a stacked and critically acclaimed lineup announced so far for Flow Festival Helsinki – including Charli xcx, FKA twigs, Fontaines D.C., Khruangbin, Little Simz, Yung Lean & Bladee, Underworld, Air, Bicep Present Chroma (AV DJ Set), Lola Young, Beth Gibbons, Kneecap, Amaarae, Joy Orbison, Avalon Emerson, Veronica Maggio, Montell Fish, Sexmane, DJ EZ, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Jeff Mills presents Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, TSHA and more. It once again sets Flow Festival Helsinki apart as a shining beacon of festival culture in the heart of one of Europe’s most incredible cities. With outstanding art installations, sensational top quality restaurants and much more to be discovered – it’s a must for all looking for a unique experience next summer.
Flow Festival Helsinki takes place between the 8th-10th August 2025 at the historic Suvilahti power plant area in the capital of Finland, Helsinki.
