Pegassi arrives at a new chapter. With his debut EP “Ascension”, out September 4 via his own Sweet Nothing label, the Belgian DJ and producer delivers the most complete statement of his career to date: a four-track body of work that moves between the euphoric and the experimental and closes on something altogether more intimate.

The title of the EP, “Ascension”, speaks for itself: a new chapter in Pegassi’s career and the culmination of a journey he has spent the past 14 years working towards. The title track has been a fixture in Pegassi’s live sets for over two years, building a life of its own on festival stages around the world before finding its way to record. A fan favourite long before its official release, “Ascension” arrives as the anchor of an EP that pushes well beyond it. Built on hard dance energy and driving bass, with UK garage-inspired percussion and hi-hats underneath a robotic vocal, the track captures the energy that has defined Pegassi’s rise.

The three remaining tracks push into different territories. “Forest Walk” runs at 148 BPM on a slightly distorted kick and driving hi-hats, with a high arpeggio and an upbeat bass shot carrying the melody, a male vocal cutting through every so often keeping the energy tight and forward-moving. “Twinflame” follows, a high-energy single that captures the exhilarating feeling of a summer spent on the road, hypnotic and dancefloor-ready from the first note. The EP closes with “Circles”, only the second time Pegassi has stepped behind the microphone himself, writing and recording his own vocals in a moment that feels both unexpected and entirely natural.

Having rapidly established himself as one of the most defining names in the new wave of European rave music, he has become a consistent presence on the world’s biggest festival stages: Tomorrowland, Awakenings, EDC Las Vegas, and earned widespread praise for the relentless energy of his live performances. Earlier this year, he delivered his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and premiered his own AV show at Tomorrowland 2026, while his debut headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney sold out, with over 13.000 tickets sold in total spread across both shows. Tracks including ‘Yoyoyo’, ‘Spectral Bells’ and viral hit ‘227kg’ have cemented his status as one of electronic music’s fastest rising artists.

With a debut EP that spans club floors and personal reflection, and the Sweet Nothing universe expanding through shows in London Berlin and Amsterdam, “Ascension” marks the beginning of Pegassi’s most ambitious chapter yet.
