GORDO brought his six-week TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza to a close on Tuesday 29th September when he packed out the club for a buzzing final night. The GRAMMY-nominated star was joined by house royalty Roger Sanchez, plus Gala and Abril Love who all helped close the season the way it opened – with a full room and an atmosphere that carried through from doors to close.
The closing party capped off a residency that saw the hit-making house producer joined week on week by guests including Nicole Moudaber, Shimza, Vintage Culture, Patrick Topping and more. Each night built on the unique, energetic identity TARAKA has developed since its launch. A few of GORDO’s highlights from the residency include the opening night where Bad Gyal pulled up and each b2b with Shimza and Vintage Culture.
GORDO himself dug deep each week and played a mix of his own classic cuts, plenty of exclusive edits, unreleased tracks from friends and many more surprises that meant every part had a fresh, forward thinking sound unlike anywhere else on the island in the late season.
GORDO reflected on his residency at Pacha Ibiza: “I’m proud that TARAKA has developed its own identity. Every Tuesday the energy (kept) growing, and that’s the best feeling I could ask for. Pacha is the best club in Ibiza and this was an unforgettable first season for TARAKA. Thank you to all the fans, artists, and teams for the best summer ever.”
