2013 saw Sankeys fully emerge as the home of underground music in Ibiza. Following a season that showcased some of the most respected names from across the globe, they are proud to reveal a colossal two-part opening party. Celebrating some of the island’s most prestigious figures, along with stand-out artists from across the global Sankeys family including Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82, Darius Syrossian, Amine Edge & DANCE, Enzo Siragusa and Andrea Oliva, it promises to be a party of epic proportions.
Consistently at the centre of the action, Sankeys Ibiza will open it’s 2014 season on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd May – right in the thick of Ibiza’s Music Summit. The first of the huge two-day celebration in association with legendary Sankeys club night Tribal Sessions will make its Sankeys Ibiza debut, headlined by New York house legend and White Isle staple Danny Tenaglia. Shaking the clubbing mecca back to life, dancefloor pounding sets will come courtesy of Sankeys Tribal chief resident Darius Syrossian and Enzo Siragusa, head honcho of revered club-night FUSE. A set from original Tribal Sessions legendary resident Greg Vickers will join the dots between Sankeys past, present and future, as will techno trail-blazer Shlomi Aber who first played for Sankeys in 2007. Resident Advisor’s most charted artist in 2013 Sidney Charles and respected Sankeys Manchester and New York residents Jozef K and Dave Rosario complete the programme to showcase what is a truly global clubbing institution.
Day two will see a headline set from Sankeys King of the Basement and Viva Warriors head honcho Steve Lawler, who’s weekly Sunday residency at Sankeys Ibiza became one of the most sought-after parties on the island last season. Joining the dance music elite is hotter than ever Hot Since 82 and Cuff Records founders Amine Edge & DANCE. After his 2013 residency, Finnebassen will once again take control at his Balarian stomping ground while ANTS superstar Andrea Oliva will look to make his mark on new and exciting territory. Support comes from Viva Warriors resident Miss Soulfly (Marina Karamarko) winner of Burn Studio’s residency 2013 and Malta’s The Element, who has recently been associated with the forthcoming Sankeys Malta project.
