Open’er Festival returns to Gdynia’s Baltic coast from 1–4 July 2026 with a huge first wave of names, announcing three headline acts that span generations and genres: the iconic Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, global dance powerhouse Calvin Harris, and the cult British trio The xx – joining previously announced headliners The Cure. Also joining the lineup are legendary Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, viral soul and R&B sensation Teddy Swims, and acclaimed alternative artist Ethel Cain, making for one of the festival’s most exciting and diverse line-ups to date.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return to Europe in summer 2026 for a monumental run of outdoor headline shows and festival appearances. Renowned for their exhilarating and unforgettable performances, The Bad Seeds are widely regarded as one of the most thrilling live bands in the world. Their latest album Wild God became a Top 10 hit across multiple European countries and led to a sold-out European tour that was hailed as one of the live highlights of 2024. This summer, they’ll bring a setlist that spans all four decades of their storied career – including material from Wild God when they take to the Orange Main Stage on July 2.

Calvin Harris stands as a true figurehead of modern dance music. The producer, DJ and songwriter has broken world records and dominated charts across the globe, amassing over 56 billion combined audio and video streams throughout his career. One of Sony Music’s biggest streaming artists, Calvin has collaborated with the likes of Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, The Weeknd and Travis Scott, and earned a long list of accolades, including five Grammy nominations and a Grammy win for “We Found Love.” Expect an unmissable night of global hits when he headlines the Orange Main Stage on July 2.

The xx, the iconic trio of Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith (Jamie xx), will also take to the Orange Main Stage on July 1. Known for their distinctive, emotional and atmospheric sound, the London band first caught global attention in 2009 with their debut single “Crystalised” and their Mercury Prize-winning album The xx. The group’s later releases, Coexist and I See You, showcased their evolution into a more energetic, eclectic sound. After a series of acclaimed solo projects, The xx’s return in 2026 marks one of the most important musical comebacks of the year – and one of Open’er’s most anticipated performances.

Also joining the lineup is David Byrne, an absolute music legend whose endless creativity has continually reshaped the musical landscape. Following the close of his acclaimed American Utopia era, which evolved from an album and tour into a Broadway show and Spike Lee directed HBO film – Byrne began crafting his new project, Who Is The Sky?, alongside Grammy winning producer Kid Harpoon and New York based ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra. Featuring guest appearances from Hayley Williams, St. Vincent and The Smile drummer Tom Skinner, the album builds on American Utopia’s themes of optimism and human connection. Audiences can expect a spellbinding live experience when Byrne performs on the Tent Stage on July 1.

Teddy Swims, the Grammy nominated vocal powerhouse from Atlanta, Georgia, brings his signature blend of R&B, soul and pop to the Orange Main Stage on July 4. With over 12 billion global streams and a voice that captures raw emotion and depth, Swims has quickly become one of the defining artists of his generation. His breakout single “Lose Control,” from his debut album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the longest-charting hit in history. Following the release of his expanded 32 track Complete Edition, his Open’er debut promises to be one of the festival’s standout moments.

Completing the first announcement is Ethel Cain, the multidisciplinary artist and singer-songwriter whose deeply cinematic sound has captivated audiences around the world. Cain’s 2022 debut album Preacher’s Daughter earned widespread acclaim, while her 2025 releases Perverts and Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You further cemented her as one of contemporary music’s most compelling voices. Her performance on the Tent Stage on July 3 is set to deliver an immersive journey through haunting, emotionally rich soundscapes.

Taking place in Gdynia between July 1st-4th 2026, Open’er Festival is a must-attend experience that never fails to deliver world-class talent and an unforgettable atmosphere. Set on the stunning Baltic coast in Gdynia, Poland, this legendary festival attracts over 100,000 music lovers from all over the globe each year.
