The artist has built a particularly strong following in Italy in recent years, with standout shows at Kappa FuturFestival and Circoloco’s Milan editions, as well as performances at the iconic Cocoricò, with several more Italian dates planned throughout this year. Mochakk Calling Milan at Ex Macello stands out as a landmark moment in his presence in the country, marking the arrival of his own event series to one of Italy’s major cultural capitals. With a capacity for 9,000 guests, Ex Macello is one of Milan’s most distinctive cultural spaces. The former slaughterhouse complex, known for its raw brick architecture and post-industrial atmosphere, has become a creative hub for music and art and a key reference point within the city’s burgeoning electronic music and creative scenes.

Following sold-out editions in major cities such as São Paulo, Lisbon, Miami, New York, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Sydney, alongside the 2025 debut of Mochakk Calling Festival in Malta, Mochakk Calling has quickly become one of the most in-demand brands in contemporary electronic music. After Milan, the event will travel to Barcelona, where Mochakk Calling will make its OFFSónar debut on June 20 as part of the festival’s official program. The show will take place at the iconic Plaza Mayor stage at Poble Espanyol.

Mochakk Calling Milan lands in the middle of a major European run for the artist, with the event taking place on Saturday, May 16, followed by Nuits Sonores in Lyon, France on Sunday, May 17, where Mochakk will be curating the festival’s main stage. The same week will also see a major new release from the artist, with further details still to be announced.

Mochakk, the alias of DJ and producer Pedro Maia, is one of Brazil’s leading electronic music exports. The artist broke through internationally in 2023 with his hard-hitting release “Jealous” on CircoLoco Records, followed by the “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I & II” EPs on the same label. Known for his sharp production style and genre-fluid sound, his catalogue includes standout tracks such as “Da Fonk” featuring Joni, which has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify. In 2025, Mochakk made his big debut on Ninja Tune with the “From the Stars” EP and released an official remix of “Noises” by PinkPantheress. New music and upcoming compilations on his MOTRAXX label are set for 2026, spotlighting the next wave of Brazilian electronic music talent.

His rapid rise has seen him perform at leading festivals and clubs worldwide, including Coachella, Glastonbury Festival, Primavera Sound, Time Warp, Panorama Bar, Sunny Hill Festival and Sónar, alongside his ongoing CircoLoco residency at DC-10. In 2024 he also staged a sold-out show on Hollywood Boulevard, performing to a crowd of 12,000 people. This April, Mochakk will return to Coachella for peak-time performances across both weekends, before heading out on his debut India tour with four shows across the country between May 7 and 10.

Alongside his prolific touring career, Mochakk Calling has developed into a global event brand, selling out editions across major cities before expanding into the Mochakk Calling Festival in Malta in 2025, which featured headliners including Honey Dijon, Bonobo, Seth Troxler, and Mall Grab. As the Mochakk Calling event series continues its global run, the Milan edition will bring the concept to one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural capitals. Set against the raw industrial backdrop of Ex Macello, the event promises to channel the atmosphere that has defined Mochakk Calling worldwide, placing Milan firmly on the map of the brand’s expanding international circuit and giving Mochakk’s Italian fans a chance at joining the Mochakk Calling experience on May 16 in Milan.
