During the 30th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, Audio Obscura will return to G-STAR RAWFACTORY for the very last time. From 22 to 24 October, the normally inaccessible G-STAR headquarters will open its doors once more for three days and nights of electronic music. Across six individual shows, Audio Obscura will present its final programme at the iconic location.

The farewell applies exclusively to G-STAR RAWFACTORY. Audio Obscura will continue to operate and host events at other locations across Amsterdam during ADE 2026, including The Loft in the A’DAM Tower. Looking ahead to 2027, the organisation is already exploring new and unexpected locations that can be temporarily opened up to electronic music.

Six Shows Across Three Days
For its final chapter at G-STAR RAWFACTORY, Audio Obscura is going out with a bang. Across three days, six events will take place: three daytime shows and three night-time events, each with its own musical direction and identity.

On Thursday 22 October, the final chapter kicks off with a rare back-to-back set from Patrick Mason and SPFDJ, alongside Anetha, Mischluft and Tjade & Friends. Later that night, the focus shifts towards house music.

On Friday 23 October, Audio Obscura continues its successful collaboration with Amelie Lens. Following their joint takeover of Rotterdam’s monumental Van Nelle Factory in February 2026, Lens will bring her internationally acclaimed EXHALE concept to G-STAR RAWFACTORY during ADE. Later that night, Bad Boombox Invites takes over the venue.

The final day will feature The Moment by WhoMadeWho, bringing together electronic music and live performance. The final night at G-STAR RAWFACTORY will be closed by Dutch artist LAMMER.

From Headquarters to International Dance Destination
Over the past years, G-STAR RAWFACTORY has grown into one of the most recognisable locations within Audio Obscura’s ADE programme. The monumental building, designed by world-renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, was transformed outside office hours into an international meeting point for electronic music. Its brutalist architecture, glass façades and parking garage provided the setting for both large-scale daytime programmes and intimate nights.

An impressive line-up of international artists has performed at the venue over the years. From Peggy Gou, The Martinez Brothers, Adriatique, Joseph Capriati and Dax J to a new generation of audience favourites including Chris Stassy, Job Jobse, Mochakk, Marlon Hoffstadt, Malugi, LAMMER and Patrick Mason: together, they have contributed to the musical history of G-STAR RAWFACTORY and helped establish it as a fixture on the ADE map.

Jeroen Fontein, co-founder and managing director of Audio Obscura, says: “G-STAR RAWFACTORY was at the top of our dream-location list for years. Through an intensive collaboration with G-STAR and the municipality, we were able to bring this exceptional place to life during ADE. The raw architecture, the contours of an aircraft hangar and the contrast with its everyday function as an international headquarters made every edition unique.

“We experienced moments here that will forever remain part of Audio Obscura’s history: from our first edition just after the pandemic, featuring Job Jobse and Palms Trax, to Peggy Gou’s GOU TALK and a 24-hour marathon with Innervisions. We are incredibly grateful to G-STAR for the trust and freedom to transform their headquarters into an important part of Amsterdam’s nightlife culture every year.

“This marks the end of a special chapter, but emphatically not the end of Audio Obscura. During this year’s ADE, we will also host events at The Loft, and looking ahead to 2027, we are already exploring new and unexpected places where music, architecture and audiences can come together.”

Beyond The Dancefloor
Since its founding, Audio Obscura has brought electronic music to places that are normally not, or rarely, accessible as event venues. Previous locations have included the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam Central Station, the bicycle passage beneath the Rijksmuseum and the Nieuwe Kerk. In 2025, Audio Obscura also transformed part of Amsterdam’s A10 ring road into a Highway Rave, an open-air dance floor created to mark the city’s 750th anniversary. 

The final Audio Obscura shows at G-STAR RAWFACTORY will take place from Thursday 22 October through the early hours of Sunday 25 October 2026 at Joan Muyskenweg 39 in Amsterdam.

Audio Obscura will close out ADE week with three shows at The Loft in the A’DAM Tower: Adriatique b2b Cloonee, Michael Bibi and Angels by Cloudy. All three sold out yesterday, within a day of going on sale.
