A ‘reborn’ Sónar has announced the first 30 artists for its 34th edition, taking place from 17–19 June 2027. Bonobo, Tokischa, Yung Lean, Frost Children, Jessie Ware and Cornelius are among the first live acts confirmed, joining a DJ programme that includes Carl Cox, Peggy Gou, KI/KI, Romy, Oscar Mulero and Honey Dijon presents Sinister.

The announcement also serves to connect the dots between Sónar’s past and future with Sónar by Day returning to central Barcelona at a waterfront location, bringing music and Sónar+D together within the same space. Sónar by Night will return to its established two-night format at Fira Gran Via, with four stages hosting major live productions and artists from across international club culture.

Elsewhere in this first announcement figure Collabs3000 (Chris Liebing & Speedy J), Job Jobse, Aurora Halal live, Goldie live, Donato Dozzy & Batu, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. Together, these first names span electronic live performance, pop, rap, dembow, techno, house and the wider spectrum of contemporary club music.

SonarPass and SonarPass+D tickets are now available at special launch prices via sonar.es, with standard and VIP options.Sónar by Day returns to the heart of Barcelona

Sónar’s 2027 edition reconnects with the spirit of the festival’s beginnings: rooted in the city, driven by discovery and open to radical ideas.

Running from Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 June, Sónar by Day will bring its daytime programme to Barcelona’s central waterfront. The move restores a closer relationship with the city, where the festival began in 1994, in an intimate setting designed to encourage discovery and bring artists and audiences together.

Sónar+D will once again form an integral part of that experience. Sharing the daytime site with the music programme, it will connect artists, researchers, innovators and institutions to explore how technology is changing the ways we create, communicate and imagine the world.

Through its focus on creativity, research and critical thinking, Sónar+D will offer a space to encounter new ideas, question emerging technologies and consider the futures they might produce. Two nights, four stages at Fira Gran Via

Sónar by Night returns to Fira Gran Via on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 June, restoring the two-night format in response to audience demand.

Its four established stages — SonarClub, SonarPub, SonarLab and SonarCar — will host the festival’s largest productions, from ambitious audiovisual performances to influential DJs and artists shaping the next directions in club music.Live performances from Bonobo, Tokischa, Yung Lean, Jessie Ware and Cornelius

Bonobo returns with a new live show presenting Distance in Static. The British producer’s approach to electronic performance will take on a new stage production designed by Pierre Claude, whose work includes shows for Air, Gesaffelstein and Phoenix.

Dominican artist Tokischa makes her Sónar debut with a performance that brings together dembow, reggaeton and rap. Explicit and unapologetic, her music centres pleasure, sexual freedom and female agency. Her collaborators include Rosalía, J Balvin, Madonna, A$AP Rocky, Nathy Peluso and Skrillex.

Yung Lean, whose early releases helped define the sound of cloud rap in the 2010s, joins the live programme alongside Jessie Ware. Drawing on the worlds of Studio 54 and 1980s Ibiza, Ware brings a pop sensibility grounded in disco and dancefloor culture.

New York sibling duo Frost Children bring an unruly mix of EDM, electro and pop to Sónar. Their songs explore dependence, perseverance and change, channelling the emotional intensity of emo into an explosive live show.

Japanese artist Cornelius will present Refractions, released in August. Across more than three decades, his work has continually reimagined the possibilities of experimental pop. Club pioneers, returning favourites and new collaborations

Carl Cox returns to Sónar for the first time in more than two decades. One of electronic music’s defining DJs, he joins South Korean artist Peggy Gou and Dutch DJ KI/KI, whose sets have helped drive the current resurgence of trance.

Romy, a member of The xx, will play a DJ set that channels the communal euphoria of the dancefloor. Oscar Mulero also returns after 20 years, bringing his precise, immersive approach to techno, while Honey Dijon explores the genre through her Sinister project.

Following the success of STOOR Live, Speedy J returns with Collabs3000, his collaboration with Chris Liebing. The performance combines Liebing’s vinyl selections with Speedy J’s live improvisation.

Funk Assault, the partnership of Alarico and Chlär, adds its forceful, groove-led techno to the programme. Ed Banger founder Busy P goes back-to-back with Mexican artist Girl Ultra, bringing French Touch, hip-hop and electro into conversation with her palette of R&B, synths and new wave.

Aurora Halal will perform live, drawing audiences into her hypnotic electronic world. Ehua & Flore also join the live programme with a collaboration built around bass, broken rhythms and soundsystem culture. From underground icons to a new generation of club artists

Goldie will perform live in 2027, following the collarbone injury that prevented his appearance in 2026. His return delivers the jungle and drum ’n’ bass performance originally planned for last year’s edition.

Job Jobse makes his Sónar debut, while Donato Dozzy and Batu will share the festival’s DJ booth for the first time. Their pairing brings together Dozzy’s hypnotic techno and Batu’s restless approach to bass music.

Georgian DJ SALOME joins with her blend of electro, techno and acid. Tash LC brings a wide-ranging selection that moves between soukous, kuduro, soca and other sounds from across the Global South.

Berlin-based Japanese duo Opal Sunn, formed by Alex Kassian and Hiroaki OBA, make their festival debut. Their recent releases introduce dub and ambient textures to a sound built on expansive chords, deep bass and groove.

Also confirmed are Chinese-Canadian selector Yu Su; Catalan artist ONA, whose sensual, spiritual approach to dance music accompanies a forthcoming debut album; and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, whose live performance combines intricate synthesis, vocals and hyperpop melodies with drum ’n’ bass rhythms. Veteran techno DJ Adriana Lopez revives her  drum’n’bass alias, Suut.

A new generation of artists adds further breadth to the announcement. TK MAMI brings her raw, irreverent mix of trap, glo and jerk, presenting the recently released TK MAMI UNIVERSITY. Granada’s Kristina draws on old-school reggaeton, while Madrid collective Disobey Sound System brings club sounds shaped by the city and internet culture.

Zaragoza-born Drizzyclare completes the first announcement, contributing the broad musical perspective that has taken her to Rinse FM and NTS.Sónar Week expands across Barcelona

Sónar Week extends the festival across Barcelona through a programme of music, creativity and technology during the third week of June.

Alongside Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night and Sónar+D, Sónar District returns to Parc del Fòrum on Friday and Saturday, bringing together international club audiences and leading DJs. The site will also welcome Sónar Kids, following its sold-out return in 2026, with music and creative activities for families.
